Valko BJJ is excited to announce that it will be opening a second academy in the early summer of 2013.  The new school will be located at 1217 W. Monroe, inside Black Tiger Performance, in the West Loop.  The gym is still under construction, the exact date will be announced soon.  Classes will be taught by Jay Valko and TK Oates. 

Coach Lawrence Dunning earned his second first round submission victory in a row at XFO 47.

On March 23rd, 2013, coach TK Oates became Valko BJJ's first Pan-American Jiu-jitsu Champion, winning gold at the 18th annual event in Irvine, California. 

 

All three of our brown belt instructors who competed in the Chicago Winter Open walked away with gold medals.  Congratulations TK Oates, Lawrence Dunning, and Allen Causevic.

Valko BJJ Achieves 100% Medal Rate Plus 3rd Place Overall Team Ranking

After a four year break our very own Valko BJJ boxing coach, Mark Allen, returned to the cage and won via first round armbar!

After a long and decorated amateur career, Christian "the Rainmaker" Reynoso finally made his pro MMA debut on 3/5/2011, defeating Ray Grindstaff by armbar in the second round! Christian is the head instructor at Valko BJJ North in Like Forest, IL.

Congratulations to Jay Valko and Mike Cornille for thier wins at the EGO. Jay won the brownbelt gold medal and Mike won the advnaced no-gi silver medal!
